Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center

Providing the cellular resources for the future advancements in hematopoietic stem biology.

Fred Hutch’s unique resources include enriched hematopoietic progenitor/stem cell products coupled with platform of molecular tools and large animal models to investigate hematopoietic stem cell biology.

  • The Hematopoietic Cell Procurement and Processing Core provides an array of unmanipulated and enriched subpopulations of hematopoietic cell products from healthy donors, including CD34+ hematopoietic progenitor/stem cells, to investigators.
  • The Cell Tools and Manipulation Core designs and provides a range of different tools for investigators to manipulate and edit hematopoietic blood and progenitor/stem cells including Lentivirus, Adeno-Associated Virus (AAV), Gamma retrovirus, and Foamy Virus at scales for ex vivo and in vivo experiments.  The Core also offers the development of user-directed, edited CD34+ hematopoietic progenitor/stem cells upon request.
  • The Large Animal Cell and Molecular Services Core provides Chimerism analysis, DLA Typing, design of molecular screening methods, and clone tracking for large animal models
  • Enrichment Core introduces the exciting world of research to a demographically diverse population of high school students, to aid in the development of the next generation of investigators.
