Congratulations to Athena Starlard-Davenport, PhD, Associate Professor at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and recipient of a CCEH Type B Pilot & Feasibility Award, on receiving the American Society of Hematology (ASH) Award for Research Careers in Hematology (ARCH).
The $150,000, two-year ARCH award will expand Dr. Starlard-Davenport’s research to investigate genetic and molecular determinants of sickle cell disease. The award builds on work supported by the CCEH Pilot & Feasibility Program.
We are thrilled to see CCEH pilot-supported research generate additional funding and momentum. Congratulations, Athena!
